German Engenharia's manufacturing inspection services seek to minimize potential equipment defects, due to design flaws, lack of adequate physical infrastructure and manufacturing procedures, quality control deficiencies and even damages caused during transport and assembly of the equipment.
Below is a description of the main activities to be performed:
- 1 - Vendor Audit: visit to materials and equipment vendors to evaluate the facilities, manufacturing procedures, staff qualifications, and quality control system and testing.
- 2 - Mechanical Design Verification: the nature of the design activity in itself warrants its evaluation. Our engineers perform mechanical design evaluation services for the equipment to be manufactured, so as to contribute to minimizing design flaws and to suggest improvements that may be implemented at low costs, with benefits to future inspection and maintenance activities.
- 3 - Comments on the Manufacturing and Inspection Plans: before the manufacturing starts, our team checks the plans and procedures for manufacturing and quality control. Comments and suggestions are then offered to minimize the introduction of defects during manufacturing processes such as forming and welding. With that information, the verification points are determined for the ensuing Manufacturing Inspection.
- 4 - Manufacturing Inspection: the verifications defined in the inspection plan (IP) are conducted by inspectors supervised by the engineering department. During the visits both the technical aspects and the adherence to the schedule are verified. We try to detect non-compliances and contribute to evaluate and propose solutions, considering costs, time and engineering best practices.
